Step 1 Go to https://www.google.com/adwords/



Click in “Start Now”


Step 2 A next page will open. You need to fill the following things:


Enter Your email - Insert your Google account email (Create new one if you don't have)

Country – Select your country

Time Zone – Select your time zone

Currency – Select the currency according to your country.

Step 3 A new page will open asking for your password as shown below. Insert the password and click sign in.




Step 4 A page will open having option of “ Create your first campaign” on left side as shown in image below. Click on it.





Step 5 A page will open name as “ Search Network and Display Select – Standard


Fill the section given in above snapshot:

Campaign Name – Give a Name to your Campaign
Type of campaign – Select the network type :
For this your have 3 options:
  • Search Network only
  • Display Network only
  • Search Network with Display Select (Recommended for newer advertisers)

Networks –
  • Select Google Search network to see your ads in search engine
  • Select Google display network to see your ads in affiliate sites too.


affiliate sites are the Google approves advertisement sites.

Location – Select the location where you want to show your ads.

Below location there will be section of language, bid strategy and budget per day as shown in below snapshot.

Language – Select the language of your ad.

Bid Strategy – 2 options are there:

I will manually sets my bids for clicks – choosing this your will set manually MCPC (Maximum cost per click)

Adwords will set my bids to help maximize clicks within my target budget – Automatic selection of bids to get maximum clicks.
I will prefer you manually bids for clicks.

Budget – Enter your per day budget.


If you scroll down your will see a section of ad extension: Location, sitelinks, call


Select the location if you want to show your location in ad, call if you want to show your number in ads, sitelinks to show links sections.

Atlast click on “ Save and continue”.

Step 6 A new page will open named “ create a group”. Have a look on snapshot.



Name this ad group - Give a name to your group.

Create an ad -

This section will consists of your ads detail:

Headline – A 25 characters Headline
Description 1 –2 lines of 35 character
description 2 – Second description if you want to rotate the description.
Display URL– URL you want to display
Landing page – Page open when user click on the ad

Step 7 – Insert the keywords on which you want to show your ads.


You may use match types as we discussed above i.e broad, phrases, exact and negative.

You can add 20 keywords in an ad group. Place the keywords.

Try to avoid single work keywords.
